Blackjack ABC’s – Part One

[ English ]

The general concept of the game is to be assigned cards adding up to twenty-one. Each gambler is assigned 2 cards. When a black jack player is dealt a 9 or lower value card and an Ace they’ve been given a soft hand. When the black jack player is dealt no Ace it is referred to as a hard hand. Once the cards have been dealt every player at the table, which includes the dealer, every gambler is provided the opportunity to make 1 of six choices:

Requesting another card (Hit): When a blackjack player announces "hit me" the croupier will deal them another card, if the addition of that card causes the value of the hand to exceed twenty-one the blackjack player will have busted and that is the end of the game, if the card makes the total to twenty-one the gambler will be the winner and if the total hasn’t yet reached twenty one they’re still in the game.

Keeping the hand you have been given: If a black jack player is happy with the cards they’ll stay. Once this has happened the croupier will display his or her cards and the player who has accumulated 21 or the nearest to 21 will win.

Doubling Down: A player might request to double down which increases the wager by 100% they have laid. Once you have taken this procedure you can only be given one more card. The specifics of doubling down are normally out lined by the table or betting house game rules so before playing make sure you’re comfortable with the house established rules. If you’re wagering at an internet casino this is normally quite simple.
